Q: Where are you located?
A: We are currently operating out of a small home studio in Northern California but will be relocating to Vancouver, BC.
Q: How is your product made?
A: We are a 100% hand-made business. Every piece is designed in-studio by Charmaine-- we do not use any pre-made designs or patterns. Every piece goes through a multi-step process to ensure the best quality product for you.
Q: CAN YOUR SWIMWEAR BE WORN IN THE WATER?
A: Like any crochet swimsuit, it will get damp and heavier in the water. We've designed our crochet swimwear to be worn poolside & beachside. Though it can be worn in ocean water, it will not react the same to water as normal bikini fabrics. Also, we highly advise against wearing your bikini inside any kind of chemical water as the reaction with the yarn may lead to permanent damage.
Q: What is the store's return and exchange policy?
A: Since every item in our shop is made to order, we do not accept returns, but exchanges are welcomed within 15 days from arrival date with a $20 fee ($15 restocking fee + $5 return shipping charge). For health reasons, we do not accept any exchanges or returns for bottoms that do not have the hygienic liner attached. International exchanges please e-mail email@example.com.
Exchange process (within USA only):
1. Send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an exchange and provide the new size that you need.
2. Return your items to this address:

3. Include $20 cash or a check in the amount of $20 payable to CHARMAINE MABALOT.
4. Once we receive your returned items, we will contact you via e-mail.
5. Your new item(s) will be shipped back to you via USPS first-class mail with tracking within 2 weeks of your exchange. The exchange of more than 2 items will be a 2.5-3 week wait but may ship earlier.

Q: Do you ship outside of the U.S?
A: Yes! Please refer to information in the next question. You are solely responsible for any additional customs tax fees your country may charge upon delivery.
Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: DOMESTIC ORDERS: Since we are hand-made business, every order requires a minimum 1.5 week production time upward to 4 weeks. If you ordered during a sale, please allow an extra week from stated time (upward to 5 weeks) because we do receive a high volume of orders during promotions. This does not include shipping time. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with tracking included and $50 insurance. Most domestic orders take anywhere from a few days to 1.5 weeks to get across the country, so If you do not receive your order within 2 weeks after you've received a shipping confirmation, please e-mail us at email@example.com with your order # and tracking number and we will assist you from there.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Since we are hand-made business, every order requires a minimum 1 week production time upward to 3 weeks. This does not include shipping time. Currently we are only offering expedited shipping to international customers due to the frequent delays in shipping first-class mail overseas. Most international orders take anywhere from a 1.5 weeks upward to 3.5 weeks to get across the world, granted there are no issues at customs. On rare occasions, it may take upward to 5-8 weeks if there is some kind of delay at customs. These delays are out of our control. If you do not receive your order within 1 month after you've received a shipping confirmation, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order # and we will try to assist you from there. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged parcels. Our shipping costs do not account for duty fees that may apply for your country.
Q: Quick! I need my order ASAP!
A: We know all about last minute shopping and we're here to help! Because we make every item to order, we need a minimum of 3 days to produce your item once your rush order request has been approved. Quality is very important here, and we definitely want to give you the product you deserve. There is a flat $15 to put your order first in production. This charge is per ORDER, not per PIECE. Please use the contact form to inquire about placing a rush order.
Q: What are your care instructions for your products?
A: We take pride in the fact that not only is our product hand-made in California, but all of our materials are also sourced in the U.S. We use high quality materials, so we do advise our customers to treat their items with care!
For all bikinis:
They are designed to be worn poolside, beachside, and in ocean water, but we do NOT recommend that you use our bikinis in pools/hot tubs. The harsh chemicals used in the water may permanently damage the yarn.

Q: How do I purchase? Is it secure?
A: Our checkout process goes directly through Stripe, which is a trusted online payment solution on the web. Because of this, your transaction will be covered under all of the same securities and payment fraud protection. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
